Performing Arts Call
All Island performing artists are invited to
apply for Vashon Allied Arts’ New Works Series 2009. VAA’s New Works
Series offers the Blue Heron venue for Island artists to premiere
new work and/or new collaborations between January and November,
2009. Artists from all disciplines, music (all genres) dance,
literary, theater, are encouraged to apply. An inter-disciplinary
panel of Island performing artists will meet in October to review
and select recipients. Application forms are available now at Blue
Heron Art Center or click

Deadline is 5 pm, Saturday, September 27, 2008.
VAA New Works Series was established nearly twenty years ago for
Island resident artists to present new work to the community. Past
New Works Series performances have spawned memorable performances by
Daryl Redeker, Maggie Laird, Arlette Moody, Clay Martin, and many
others.
